PCS' rabbi, Rabbi Julie Hilton Danan, holds a Ph.D. in Hebrew Studies, specializing in Rabbinic Literature, and has taught both university and adult education courses for many years. She offers a program on "Exploring Judaism" for those who are interested in learning more about their heritage or in becoming Jewish.
Rabbi Julie teaches a free class on "Talmud for Beginners," on Saturdays at 12:30 pm to 1:15pm, following the Shabbat Kiddush lunch at noon. Drop-ins are welcome. She also leads Jewish Spiritual Teachings and Meditation at 9:30 am prior to Shabbat services. You can participate in these programs whether or not you attend the services. In addition, Adult Education programming at PCS offers Scholars-in-Residence Shabbatons, guest lectures and book discussions on a wide variety of topics. Contact Adult Ed chair, Barbara Doctor, with any questions or suggestions. Sign up for our weekly email so that you will be the first to know about upcoming classes and programs as they develop.
