Ambassadors Progam

Looking for a fun and easy way to get a little more involved with PCS this year?
Volunteers Needed!
The PCS Ambassador Program is being initiated to help welcome new members to the PCS community by connecting them with established members.   This is also a great opportunity for PCS members that have been with our community for just a few or many years to meet new people and enhance their connection with the synagogue in a low pressure, low commitment way.   Volunteers are needed to serve as Ambassadors in this inaugral PCS program. Simply put, ambassadors invite new members to join them when they attend and participate in PCS events.   Specifically, ambassadors will:
  • Serve as an ambassador to one to two new member families
  • Be connected with new members that they have something in common with – from the same town, have similar demographics, etc
  • Start with a phone call of welcome
  • Attend new member events with their partner new members
  •  Call new members when they are attending an event/class/service at the congregation and invite them to attend with them
The only pre-requisite to being an ambassador is having been a PCS member for 2 or more years.    Please e-mail or call [914-366-4498] Laurie Hirsch Schulz if you are interested in volunteering or have any questions.   Also, let Laurie know if you are a new member and are interested in being paired with an ambassador. We plan to invite new members joining this most recent year and will continue back through 2009 new members depending on number of ambassador volunteers.   Priority will be given to new members expressing specific interest.
