Preparing the Inner Exodus: A Spiritual Pre-Passover Journey

Preparing the Inner Exodus: A Spiritual Pre-Passover Journey

ON ZOOM ONLY!

Sunday, March 29 at 7:00 PM on Zoom

As Passover approaches, we often focus on the physical work of preparation: cleaning our homes, shopping for the Seder, organizing the logistics of the holiday. But what might it mean to prepare ourselves for liberation?

Join us for a gentle, spiritually grounded Zoom experience as we get ready for Passover together. During this single-session workshop, we’ll explore a short selection of mystical and mindfulness-based teachings drawn from Jewish and contemplative wisdom traditions. Each teaching will be paired with a brief guided meditation and personal journaling with thoughtfully crafted prompts.

Together, we will create space to notice what constricts us, what we are ready to release, and what freedom might look like in our own lives this year.

No prior experience with meditation, journaling, or text study is necessary.

2ND NIGHT VEGETARIAN POTLUCK SEDER

Pleasantville Community Synagogue is delighted to partner with the organization, Neighbors Link to host an Immigration-themed Passover Seder, "Walking Towards Freedom, Together," on Thursday, April 2 in Ossining. It will be a full and traditional Passover seder with plentiful food, music, and joy. Cesar Zepeda, our guest speaker from Neighbors Link, will share some of the experiences of our immigrant neighbors, and will answer questions and share about opportunities to volunteer with Neighbors Link.

Neighbors Link strengthens the whole community through immigrant empowerment and integration, offering legal services, workforce development, English classes, and family support through centers in Mount Kisco, Ossining, and Yonkers.

To register for the seder, click here. (Limited to 100 participants) It is a potluck-style seder with vegetarian/fish main dishes provided. To sign for what you will bring to the potluck, click here. We would love it if you would also sign up to volunteer before/after the Seder. To volunteer, click here

To support the work of Neighbors Link, click here. Please consider a donation to Neighbors Link (even if you can’t join us) and forward this email to anyone you think would enjoy the seder!

Instruction will be offered in meditation, followed by a reading and discussion offered by teachers and experienced practitioners from the community. All are welcome, and PCS membership is not required to attend. These meetings are freely offered, although donations to support PCS are welcome.
